Obituary:  Ruby Florence Beane

Mrs. Ruby Florence Beane, formerly of Enterprise, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her family residence in Sharpsburg, GA.  She was 97.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 15 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise.  Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 – 7 and Saturday beginning at 12:00 and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Beane was born December 27, 1916 in Coffee County to the late Jesse and Mittie Jane Knight Speigner.  Her parents; her first husband, Elmer Lewis Beane; her second husband, Luster Jones; her son, Lewis; and her daughter, Jeanette all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Glenda, Cynthia, Eugene, and Thomas; 35 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  She also had 5 living generations.
