Rufus Gene Forshee of Dothan passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Westside Terrace. He was 83.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, February 14, 2014 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford with Pastor Clifton McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday, February 13, 2014 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford.

At other times, the family will be at 409 Avenue E, Hartford, AL

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Brannon Stand Road, Taylor, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus Earl and Cleo Smith Forshee; one sister, Janice (Rod) Padgett.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Forshee of Dothan; two sons, Clifton (Angie) McWhorter of Black, and Tony (Kim) Danford of Phenix City; grandchildren, Jessica (Stephen) Durden of Hartford, Jason, Brody, Sophia, and Braden Danford, all of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Ruby Mae Brooks of Hartford and Lorene Larimore of Webb; one brother Ned Forshee of Dothan; several other family members.
