Mrs. Ruth Wells McNeil, of Graceville, formerly of Dothan went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning, February 5, 2014. She was 91.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Faith Tabernacle Community Church on Coe Dairy Road in Dothan with Reverend T. P. Martin and Reverend Tim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Wicksburg Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2014, one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will also receive friends at the home of her brother, Emmett Sellers in Wicksburg. Flowers will be accepted.


 


Ruth was born April 1, 1922 in Houston County. She married A. E. “Dick” Wells and they lived in Dothan. After the death of her first husband, Ruth met and married Billy McNeil.


 


Ruth was preceded in death by her two husbands, A. E. “Dick” Wells and Billy McNeil; her parents Bill and Elvie Sellers; two brothers, Tal and George Sellers; two sisters, Etta Mae and Ruby; one nephew, Gwen Sellers, and one niece Alice Robertson.


 


She is survived by one brother, Emmett; three sisters, Alberta, Lessie, and Jean; and 19 nieces and nephews.


 


Serving as pallbearers will be James Earl Sellers, Donnis Sellers, Gayle Ellenburg, Jack Ellenburg, Chris McNeil, and Kenny Moore.


 


The family would like to thank the nursing home and Graceville Hospital for the special care that was given to Ruth and especially her doctor, Dr. William Steve Davis, MD. And a special thank you to her sitter Erma Temple.
