SANDRA  ROGERS  HOWELL

ABBEVILLE. . .Sandra Rogers Howell, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, died Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2015, in the emergency room of the St. James Hospital in Glenwood Heights, Illinois.  She was 78.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Reginald Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302.

            Mrs. Howell was born and reared in Dothan where she lived most of her lifetime before moving to Riverview Forest Estates on Lake Eufaula in 2000. Since August 1, 2013, she had been living with a daughter in Glenwood, Illinois. Mrs. Howell was a member of the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church. She was retired as a Child Nutrition Worker with the Dothan City School System at the Beverly Magnet School. Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Millard Howell, her father, Perry Mack Rogers, her mother, Eugenia Dupree Ward, step-father, Odell Ward, and a brother, Joe M. Rogers and sister-in-law, Pauline Rogers.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Debbie Maddox (Eddie), Dothan; Michele Taylor (Richard), Glenwood, Illinois; a sister, Vicki Anders (Frank), Copperas Cove, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mickey Exum (Brandy), Erin Exum (Josh), Stephanie Exum-Carpenter (Neil), Shea Odom (Jon), Jarett Maddox (Adrienne), Drake Uszakow (Natalie), Malia Taylor, and Zachary Taylor; twelve great-grandchildren and another great-grandson on the way; and one great-great-grandson.
