Sara McDaniel, age 85, of Enterprise, AL passed away, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her home.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 18th at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, PO Box 1708, Enterprise, AL 36331 or to First Baptist Church, 302 North Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.


Mrs. McDaniel was a kind, caring soul with the sweetest smile.  She loved to cook for her family and play with her grandkids and great-grandkids.  She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Enterprise, a member of Keenagers, on the prayer chain committee and active in WMU.  Mrs. McDaniel volunteered many hours with several organizations, including Meals on Wheels.


Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McDaniel.


Survivors include a daughter, Kay McDaniel Jackson, Enterprise, AL; son, Bill McDaniel (Tina) Pelham, AL; grandchildren, Amanda Jackson Stephens, Panama City, FL; Brad Jackson (Ashley) Kennesaw, GA; James Dueitt (Toni) Cummings, GA; Katie Henderson (Tom) Covington, LA; Meghan Whitfield (James) Leeds, AL; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Russell, Enterprise, AL; brother, Roy Grimes, Goodman Community; numerous nieces and nephews.
