Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Phillips Blair of Midland City, Alabama, formerly of Samson, went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 19, 2014.  She was 68.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Walter Reeder officiating and her niece, Rebecca Ellenburg delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continue until service time.

Sarah was born March 1, 1946 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late William Allen and Elzie Carpenter Phillips.  She was an avid flower gardener and had an exceptional talent for interior decorating.  Sarah was an accomplished pianist and loved to share her musical talent with everyone.  She had a very loving personality and was always ready and willing to help anyone when called upon.  Sarah will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Curtis Raiford Blair of Midland City; one daughter, Amanda (Michael) Mobley of Enterprise; one grandson, Mason Mobley; one sister, Chapel Ellenburg Matthews of Geneva; one brother, Havard (Jean) Phillips of Samson; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Harry Miliner, John Chesnut, Don Smith, James Martin, Bill Boland, Todd Boland and Chris Perry.
