Sheilah Simmons of the Hacoda Community passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.  She was 73.   As per her wishes, her family will hold a private service.

Ms. Simmons was born in Hacoda, AL on January 30, 1942 to the late Woodrow W. and Marie Newell Simmons.  She was a talented artist and animal lover.  Many people were the beneficiaries of her art lessons and paintings and a number of animals in the Hacoda area benefited from her excellent care of them.

She has one surviving aunt, Jean Simmons, who resides in Columbus, GA.  Her surviving cousins include Rusty Russell from Sorrento, Fl.  Rita Pitts, Pam Simmons and Michael Simmons from Columbus, GA., Mona Edwards and Faye Hall from Birmingham, Al,Buzzy Mitchell from Atlanta, GA. and Steve Simmons from Hacoda, AL who has been faithful in making sure she was well cared for during her last few years.
