HEADLAND, ALABAMA . . .Steve Wesley Cole, Jr., a resident of Headland, died Sunday morning, December 18, 2016, in Abbey Hospice, Social Circle, Georgia. He was 68.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 (C.S.T.) in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Brad Hardy and Reverend Sam White officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary.

            Mr. Cole was born in Macon, Georgia, son of the late Steve Wesley Cole, Sr. and Bessie Mae Myers Cole. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Cole was formerly employed as an Electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Clarkson Banks Cole.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Wanda Sue Bruce (Robert), McDonough, GA; two step-sons, Bill Banks (Sandi), Newton, AL; and John H. Banks, Midland City, AL; two sisters, Elizabeth Deal, Social Circle, GA; and Barbara Addison, Macon, GA; two grandchildren, Alex Bruce and Rebecca Bruce; several step-grandchildren.
