Sue Anne Ward, of Shorterville, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was 60.


 


She was born February 5, 1956 in Abbeville to the late William Hancock and Willie Pearl Roberson. She enjoyed reading and writing in her journal, entertaining her family with stories of her days, gardening, and Alabama football. She was an avid animal lover taking in many strays.


 


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nannie and Teague Roberson; and her nephew, Earnie Amos.


 


She is survived by her sister, Jean Parrish McKee; her brother, Robert Earl Roberson (Ruby); her daughter, Rebecca Wilson; her grandchildren, Annie and Madison; special nieces, Tammy Amos, Elizabeth (Bobby) Edgil, Kelcy Evans, Donna Powell (Nick), Addy Roberson, and Kaylee Roberson; special nephews, Taylor Blair (Spencer), Corey Amos, Trenton Evans, Robbie Roberson, Lee Roberson, Redd Rabion (Tana), Stacy Rabion, and Tracy Rabion; numerous cousins, all her friends and coworkers at Ward Wilson Funeral Home and Memory Hill Cemetery.


 


A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Seale officiating.


 


The family will be accepting flowers and would like to send a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice.
