Susan Ellen Peters Pollan

 

Susan Ellen Peters Pollan, 61, of N. Roberta Ave., in Dothan was called home by the Lord on April 13, 2016 following a long illness.

 

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Cole officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.

 

Born at Moody Hospital in Dothan on July 15, 1954 to the late Dorothy and Noel H. Peters, Sr. Susan spent her early years in Graceville FL and Enterprise, AL. She attended Wallace College, Birmingham Southern College and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she studied European History and International Business.

 

Susan was known as one of the best cooks around and delighted family and friends with her culinary skills. She also demonstrated talent as an artist on canvas and mixed media. Susan loved her family and all people. She never met a stranger without leaving that person with a joyful smile on their face. She was passionate about reading and politics.

 

She is survived by her husband, Paul Pollan of Dothan; sister, Janet Cooper and husband, Gene of Headland; a brother, Noel H. Peters, Jr. of Enterprise and an aunt, Betty Murch of Greene, ME; several cousins, a nephew and niece.
