Sybil Louise Hicks of Hartford passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Hartford Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Kroll and Rev. Bruce Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery under the direct of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford.

She is survived by two sons, James E. (Leigh) Hicks of Dothan, and Alex Hicks of Hartford; two daughters, Nina Powell of Hartford, and Neda Womack of Ashford; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters. Myrna Loy Peacock, and Martha Jean Efurd; several nieces and nephews.
