Mrs. Terry Susan Smith of Geneva, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016.  She was 61.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Pierre Harvey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.

The family asked that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Terry was born January 13, 1954, in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late LCDR Bobby and Margaret Vickers James.  She loved her cat, enjoyed reading, and gardening, but her passion was nursing because she loved helping people.  The love she had for her family was unconditional and her grandchildren were her heart.  She was very family oriented and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include three sons: Bobby Gautney (Amanda) of Westville, Chris Smith (Caroline), Bobby Smith (Amanda) all of Geneva; one daughter, Susan Hornsby (Michael) of Geneva; one brother, Bobby “Chip” James, Jr.; six sisters: Linda Guy, Jackie Lewis, Michelle James, Marsha Decarpio, Wendy Wingard and Sharon Barkley; nine grandchildren: Hunter, Kassidy and Kortney Gautney, Jordan and Meagan Smith, Taylor and Kaitlyn Smith, Kilee and Krystian Hornsby; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
