Thomas J. “Joe” Brookins of Daleville, AL passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.  He was 73. 

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Bobby Conrad officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 pm and continuing until service time. 

Joe was born October 6, 1941 in Dale County, AL to the late Dalton and Ollie Reynolds Brookins.  He worked for many years as a carpenter and had served in the National Guard.  

He is survived by his devoted companion, Virginia Carol Carr, two daughters: Aleshia Brookins Herring (David) and Pamela Brookins, and two sisters: Ann Odom and Debbie Mercer, all of Daleville, AL.
