Timothy Earl Bennett of Hartford passed away Monday, July 1,2013 at his


residence. He was 64. Tim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.


 


Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, July 5, 2013at Bottoms Garden


Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery


under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home.


The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral


home.


 


Mr. Bennett was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Viet Nam; received several


medals for heroism including 3 Bronze Stars, one with V/device (for valor). He


was a classic car restoration expert and was an avid NASCAR fan.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, Vinson H. and Mary Ann Reed


Bennett also of Hartford.


 


Survivors include his wife, Maria Bennett of Hartford; one daughter, Jennifer


Lott; one son, Jesse Bennett; three grandchildren, James, Jaylon, and


Jasmine; three sisters, Ginger Gray (John), Evelyn Bartle, and Nancy Graves


(Chris); one uncle, Ted Bennett of Hartford; one aunt, Shirley Bower of


Indianapolis, IN; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
