Todd Sawyer Russell, age 55, of Niceville, FL passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2013.  He was born February 8, 1958 to LTC (Ret) Tom Sawyer Russell and Alice Marie Russell in St. Cloud, Minnesota. 

A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home In Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Funeral services were held Friday, June 14, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Destin with burial services following.

Todd was a graduate of Lansing High School and Bemidji State University.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years.  Todd built his career as the owner of Russell Painting in Niceville, FL. 

Todd was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed duck hunting, turkey hunting, fishing and golfing.  Throughout his life, Todd excelled at many sports including basketball, baseball, and football.

More than anything, Todd enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family.  His fondest memories were from hunting trips with his closest friends and family gatherings. 

Todd was preceded in death by his father, LTC (Ret) Tom Sawyer Russell in 2010.  Todd is survived by his loving wife, Meg McCallister Russell of Niceville, FL: daughter Lindsey Batchelor of Destin, FL; mother, Alice Marie Russell of Sebring, FL; brother, Terry Russell of Winter Haven, FL; sister-in-law, Gina Russell of Winter haven, FL; Gerald and Ann McCallister of Midland City, AL; Dave and Cindi Pittman of Midland City, AL; Karen Smith of Ozark, AL; Shane and April Busby of Ponce de Leon, FL; 5 nephews, Ben (Andrea) Givens, Dothan, AL; Josh Ellison, Dothan, AL; Jeremy Ellison, Dothan, AL; Conner and Chase Busby, Ponce de Leon, FL;  and 1 niece, Sara Beth Givens of Dothan.
