 Tommy Skanes

 Thomas Milton “Tommy” Skanes, died unexpectedly at his residence in Georgia August 28, 2013. He was 57.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (CST)  September 7, 2013 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Golson officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the Graveside Service on Saturday.

Tommy was born March 12, 1956 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and was a resident of the Wiregrass Area for over 20 years. He was engaged in the construction of Nuclear Power Plants for over 30 years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by three sisters, Anita Jane Timothy of Midland City, AL, Marsha Jean Tew of Dallas, Georgia and Sandra Joan Berger of Tallahassee, FL and several nieces and nephews.
