Travis Culbert Gunter, 82, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin E. Scott Fulford officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 on Thursday.

Mr. Gunter was born December 6, 1932 in Enterprise, Al to Admiral and Lassie Gunter. He was a hardworking, caring and loving husband, father, son and friend.

He is predeceased by his parents, his son, Bobby Gunter; his daughter, Billie Scott; and his brother, Albert Gunter.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy E. Gunter of Ozark; two daughters, Stacey Moore (Sam) of Echo and Sandra Griffin of Gulf Shores; his son, Travis Lamar Gunter of Ozark; two sisters, Jeanette Brown of Ozark and Sarah Thompson; his brother, Guice Gunter (Anita) of Echo; six grandchildren, Leanne Gunter, Kelsea Moore, Huntlea Moore, Dylan Gunter, Brian Scott, and Peyton Moore; and four great grandchildren, Logan Kirkley, Corbin Tanner, Nathan Morgan, and Greysen Gill.
