Travis M. Brewer of Enterprise passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 88.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Joel Snell and Reverend Randall Pearson officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 10:00 and continuing until service time.

Mr. Brewer was born March 15, 1926, in Coffee County, to the late James David and Susie Jane Grimes Brewer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Hollis Brewer; 2 sisters: Mable Brewer and Rebecca Buxton; and 1 grandson: Kevin Kirkland.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Sarah Brewer of Enterprise; 2 children: LaVon Brewer (JoAnn) and Bertha “Bert” Stephens (Alan), all of Enterprise; 1 brother: James Waylon Brewer (Charlotte) of Coffee Springs; 5 grandchildren: David Brewer (Terry), Jenny Matherly (Steve), Joel Brewer, Ken Kirkland (Savanna), and Keith Kirkland; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
