Vallie Galloway Riddle, of Geneva, Ala., passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014.  She was 96.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Rural Ausley officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.


Mrs. Riddle was born in Holmes Co., Fla. on April 1, 1918 to the late William Armphy Galloway, Sr. and Daisy Cotton Galloway.  She was a longtime member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Riddle; nine brothers, Clifton, Murdock, W.A., Cleo, Harvey, Buford, Clyde, Reo and Drew Galloway; and two sisters, Celeste G. Outlaw Bowdoin and Ruby G. Hutson.


Survivors include her daughter, Ann R. Sodec (John) of Niceville, Fla.; son, Michael V. Riddle (Deborah) of Panama City Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Alexander Rountree, Regan Rountree, both of Niceville; Michael Riddle, Cecilia R. Ciccarelli, and Rachel L. Riddle Crosby, all of Dothan; four great grandchildren, Bruno Ciccarelli, Bodee Ciccarelli, Aara Crosby, all of Dothan, and Maddi Rountree of Tuscaloosa; one brother, C.C. “Bill” Galloway; one sister, Ottilia Pat Galloway Andrews, both of Westville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
