Vernon “Mack” McMahan passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Medical Center Enterprise.  He was 85.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Howard Moore and Reverend Rennie Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Consolation Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Mack was born December 21, 1930, in Pensacola, North Carolina, to the late Richmond P. and Iola Ogle McMahan. 

In addition to his parents, his wife, Betty Kelley McMahan, and several siblings preceded him in death. Since retirement, Mr. McMahan was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include three sons: Steven McMahan (Zan), Richmond “Rick” McMahan (Sara), Vernon Keith McMahan (Gina); a daughter, Patricia Howes; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, several step children and grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; his special friends at the Good to Go.
