DOTHAN….Viola Darby Coleman, a resident of Dothan, died Friday afternoon, September 5, 2014, in a Dothan hospital. She was 95.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 7, 2014, in the Ward-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home in Dothan.


Mrs. Coleman, daughter of the late John Herman Darby and Willie Hamm Darby, was born and reared in Sneads, Florida and moved to Dothan in 1960. She was retired as the co-owner and bookkeeper of Danny Coleman Business Equipment Company in Dothan. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dothan.



            Surviving relatives include her husband, Danny Coleman, Dothan; two sons, Ted Bridges (Nyra), Dothan; and Ronnie Coleman, Miramar Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Todd Bridges (Gina), Tony Bridges (Ellen), and Kelly Coleman; four great-grandchildren, Will, Hudson, Mary Lisenby, and Watson Bridges.
