Mrs. Wanda Ivey, 89, of Dothan, Alabama, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

She was born in Dale County, Alabama on January 22, 1924. She graduated from Dale County High School. She was married to Carl Ivey of Graceville, Florida for 34 years.

She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and leaves a legacy behind of selfless sacrifice and enduring faith. She enjoyed reading and genealogy and was always a genuine example to her family and friends of how to treat others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, daughter Carol (Cook) McCarty, and her parents James Robert James and Lola (Blackmon) Stubbs.

She is survived by her daughter Denise (Tom) Louthain, sister Jimmie Skipper, grandchildren Britt McCarty, Stacey (Sean) Magonigal, and great grandchildren Jordan Blair, Tanner Grantham, Sydney, Sage, Saxton, and Stella Magonigal.
