Wendell “Buddy” Ammons, age 71 of Enterprise, AL passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 27, 2014 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home on Monday.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.

Buddy was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Renner, two brothers, Andrew “Bill” Ammons, Donald “Nip” Ammons, his father, Andrew Jackson Ammons and his mother Eva Pearl Ammons.

Survivors include a daughter, Renee’ Ammons, Enterprise, AL; sons, Lex Ammons (Jennifer) Enterprise, AL; Bruce Ammons (Donna) Niceville, FL; Charles Ammons, Enterprise, AL; sister, Erlene “Lady” Green (Douglas) Jack, AL; brothers, Hayes Ammons, Troy, AL; Lamar “Little Boy” Ammons (Sandra) Springtown, TX; six grandchildren.
