Weston Phillip Smith of Samson, Alabama passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015.  He was 19.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, in the Samson First Baptist Church with Minister Kevin Presley, Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Sam Totten officiating.  Weston will be placed into the church one hour prior to service time.  Burial will follow in the Travelers Rest Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 4, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m.

Weston was born August 1, 1996, in Houston County, Alabama.  He was a 2015 graduate of Samson High School where he loved playing for the Samson Tiger football team.  He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his horses as well as his four wheeler.  Weston was a diehard Auburn “War Eagle” fan.  He was a motivator among his peers with a loving personality and an infectious smile.  He was known to befriend the underdog and found the good in everyone.  Weston had a heart of gold; therefore a part of him will live on as he was an organ donor and wanted to give someone a chance at life by giving of himself.  He attended Earlytown Church of Christ.

His paternal grandparents, Fred and Grace Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his parents, Freddie and Lynn Smith of Samson; one sister and brother-in-law, Kylie and Nick Weeks of Kinston; maternal grandparents, Havard and Jean Phillips of Samson; several special aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trip Davis, Hobie Gautney, Chris Dyal, Jason Simmons, Jerod Hall and Triston Wallace.
