Wilda Ella Reeves went home to be with the Lord Tuesday February 3^rd.  She was 87.

Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00pm at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

 

She was born September 10, 1927 and spent her entire life in the Dothan area.  Her greatest pride was serving her family, church and friends.

 

 “Granny Reeves”, as she was affectionately known, was the face of Hunt’s Restaurant for many years.  Granny met diners at the door of and greeted everyone as if she had known them for years, and most of them she had.  Granny was the queen of customer relations and always left her patrons with a smile.  She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart and will be forever missed by her loved ones, the Hunts family and this community.

 

She is survived by her son Tim Reeves (Wendy), and daughter in law Donna Boyd: 7 grandchildren: Jason Boyd (Janie), Casey Rakhmanov (Igor), Tabitha Morris (Slade), Jordan Reeves, Whitney Reeves, Anna Catherine (Acey) Reeves and Chance Reeves. Six great grandchildren: Jonah and Sadie Boyd, Isabella and Owen Rakhmanov, Gavin and Bailey Morris. Two brothers: Billy Mendheim (Ruthie) and Doyle Mendheim (Merle) also survive.

 

Mrs. Wilda was preceded in death by husband Billy Joe Reeves and son Michael Boyd.

Ward Wilson Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Dothan Pilot Club/Project Life Saver P.O. Box 340, Dothan, AL 36302.

 

Hunts Restaurant will be closed Friday to honor our beloved Granny Reeves.
