Mr. William E. Trant of Elba passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise.  He was 78.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Mr. Trant was born April 4, 1936 in Geneva County to the late Martin Luther and Nettie Rachel Spann Trant.

Survivors include 2 sons:  David Evans (Shannon) of Enterprise, AL and Danny Evans of Orlando, FL; 2 daughters:  Dianne Brown (Doug) of Americus, GA and Kim Evans of Gillette, WY; niece and nephew:  Jennifer and Kyle Washington of Jackson, GA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
