William Earl Lamb


William Earl Lamb, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 in a Birmingham hospital. He was 70.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coley Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Monday.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.


Mr. Lamb was born November 11, 1942 in Wicksburg, AL and lived his early life there. He was then a resident of Dothan for all his life. He was employed as a boiler maker and worked in various locations in the U.S. He retired due to his health in the early 90s. Mr. Lamb was a Mason and a Shriner. He loved to fish and play his guitar. He was a welder and owned Welco Crane Co. in Dothan for several years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; his grandson was known as his “Little Man”. He was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.


He is predeceased by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.


Survivors include his wife, Pauline Lamb of Dothan; his daughter, Jennifer Hutto (Jeremy) of Dothan; one grandson, Jacob Hutto; two sisters, Marilyn Coulson and Terri Gaston; several nieces and a nephew.
