Willis Gordon Broyles HT1(SW) USN (retired), 47, of Wytheville, VA passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2013 in Sulphur Springs, LA. He was born on June 24, 1966 in Jacksonville, FL, the son of Dottie and Will Broyles.

Will “Gordon” Broyles graduated from Dothan High School in Dothan, AL in 1984 and joined the United States Navy. He met his wife of 23 years, Kathie Broyles, while stationed in Honolulu, HI on the USS Salvor. They were blessed to live in 7 different states together with friends and family all over the United States. He retired in 2004 after 20 years of service. He was loved by all that knew him. Fair winds and following seas Will.

Will was preceded in death by his grandfather Ernest Douglas; grandparents Milford and Rosie Broyles.

Survivors include his wife Kathie Broyles, Wytheville, VA; parents, Will and Dottie Broyles, Dothan, AL; a brother Kevin Broyles (Susan), Newton, AL; nieces Rachel and Makayla Broyles, Newton, AL; a special double first cousin Kim (Roger) Thomas, Newcomb, TN; many special shipmates, and many more beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service is planned Saturday July 27th, 2013 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Newcomb Church of God Newcomb, TN. All friends and family invited.
