WILMA  BRANNON  GLOVER

DOTHAN. . .Wilma Brannon Glover, a former resident of Cowarts, died early Thursday morning, March 13, 2014, in the Wesley Manor Retirement Center in Dothan. She was 90.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 15, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Rick Plummer and Reverend Wallace Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Jo Ann Shipes, 3124 Mimosa Drive, Dothan.

            Mrs. Glover was a native of Winter Garden, Florida, daughter of the late Burman Rosier Brannon and Dovie Riley Brannon. She was reared in the Old Center community of Henry County and lived in Dothan and Cowarts before moving to Wesley Manor in 2009.  She was retired from Sony Corporation of America and was formerly employed by Twitchell, Inc. and Rock City Box Company. Mrs. Glover was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Bill Brannon and J. T. Glover, a daughter, Diann Hinson, and two sisters, and three brothers.

            Surviving relatives include five daughters, Jo Ann Shipes (C. R. Shipes, Jr.,) Dothan; Pep Elmore (Tom), Lake City, FL; Rebecca Holland (Jimmy), Cottondale, FL; Joyce Skipper (Tim), Dothan; and Doris White, Cottonwood; a son-in-law, Leon Hinson, Headland; three sons, Jim Bob Brannon (Margie), Jake Brannon (Janice), Curtis Brannon (Sue), all of Dothan; three sisters, Peggy Little, Nina Cooper, and Grace Young, all of Moultrie, GA; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren.

            Serving as active and honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons.
