Winnell Rae Tiner Kochis passed away on April 26, 2015 at the age of 89.

The first of six children, Winnell was born April 1, 1926 in Garfield, AR to Ray Monty Tiner and Jessie Clair Reeves Tiner. Winnell worked for Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, OK during World War II. While living in Oklahoma, she met and married John Joseph Kochis and became a mother to their son John Jay Kochis. Together they moved to Dothan, where Johnny worked as a flight instructor at Fort Rucker until his death in 1963 and Winnell worked as a dental assistant until her retirement. Winnell enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking walks, where she could watch the changing of the seasons and observe birds and other wildlife.

Winnell is survived by her brother John Tiner and sister Lucy Stewart and her granddaughter Teresa Kochis. She will also be missed by her daughter-in-law Donna Rutherford and granddaughter Cindy Alana Brannon, the families of John Hubbard and Robert Chisholm and many other friends and loved ones.

At a future date, a gathering will take place at Pratt Cemetery in Garfield, AR where Winnell will be buried alongside her beloved husband, son and other family. Winnell touched the lives of many people and will always be remembered for her love of nature, her generosity and her strength.
