Republican Clouse Supports Obamacare?

Our State Rep Steve Clouse has chosen to start supporting Medicaid expansion despite his (and the rest of the GOP's) opposition to the Affordable Care Act in the last three years. He voiced his change of heart in a recent interview on the Capitol Journal (May 9, 2014) and was quoted in the Alabama Political Reporter today, stating that "I can see us as we're going forward probably maybe moving into the expansion of Medicaid." It's funny how political ideology changes when elections are around the corner or the money runs out in the state coffers. Clouse' opponent, Dr. Jennifer Marsden has been consistently touting the advantages of Medicaid expansion throughout her campaign. Mr. Clouse' "me too" stance sounds like the 20 year incumbent is learning from the political rookie, Marsden. Too bad he has waited so long to come to this conclusion. Alabama is already losing almost $4 million per day since January 1st because Bentley chose not to expand Medicaid - no wonder unemployment is up!
