Several students from Northside Methodist Academy competed in the ACEA State Academic Competition held in Gardendale, Alabama, on February 1st. We want to congratulate the Northside students who competed and those who won at the recent ACEA State Academic Competition in Gardendale, Alabama: Elementary: 1st & 2nd place winners qualifying for state competition: Spelling – 1st place - Joel Beauchamp 2nd place - Emma Ray Sword Drill – 1st Blake Calhoun 2nd Joel Beauchamp Jr High: 1st & 2nd place winners qualifying for state competition: Spelling – 1st place - Michael Morris 2nd place – Dayton Peluso High School: Spelling – 1st place - Joshua Batchelor 2nd place – Elizabeth Meadows Winners in State Competition: Elementary: English – Makayla Tingle – 3rd place Science – Garrin Phelps - 3rd place Jr High: English – Ben Beauchamp – 2nd place Mathematics – Paul Beauchamp – 2nd place Pre-Algebra – Erin Reed - 3rd place Algebra 1 – Ben Beauchamp – 2nd place New Testament – Jonathan Palmehier – 3rd Art – Meghan McClendon – 3rd place in Mixed Media Jr. Bible Quiz Team – 2nd place in Tournament High School: Biology – Andrew Sluss – 3rd place Chemistry – Brynn Whatley – 3rd place Art – Lindsey Marks – 1st place (Mixed Media) Sr. Bible Quiz Team – 2nd place in Tournament
