A NORTHSIDE JUNIOR WINS 2ND IN DISTRICT ART COMPETITION: Colby Carroll's artwork was chosen as the 2nd place winner for our district in the Congressional Arts Competition. He receives a $50 prize, certificate and his piece will hang in U.S. Representative Martha Roby's office in Montgomery.Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.Colby, an 11th grader at NMA, won for his piece: Contrast Self-Portrait. Congrats to Colby and to Northside's Art Instructor, Mrs. Alison Beeson!!
