Headland defeats Monroe County in Dixie Youth Majors State Tournament

Headland continued to fight through the State Tournament with a win over Monroe County tonight 11-8. Leading the way for Headland at the plate was Josh Bower with three hits, one home run and 3 rbi, Ryan Rose with a 3 run homer, Conner German with a 2 run homer. Also getting hits for Headland was John Todd Weeks, Chase Wilkerson, and Zack Kenan. The winning pitcher was Dylan McKnight pitching three innings striking out 5 and giving up only one run. Chase Wilkerson, Josh Bower and Dave Loftin pitched one inning each. Headland plays again tomorrow morning at 10am against Crenshaw County.
