Third inning rally sparks HA win over W.S. Neal.
3 HA pitchers combined to throw a 1 hitter vs W.S. Neal Wednesday afternoon in a hits for heroes game. Conner McDonald threw 4 innings, walked 1 and struck out 4, Ben Beauchamp threw 2 innings, walked 1 and struck out 3, while Will Baker threw the final inning, striking out 1. The only hit for W.S. Neal came with 2 outs in the 7th inning.
Offensively, Warner Blake and Beauchamp led the way with 2 hits and an rbi each. Tanner Jackson was 1 for 3 with 2 rbi. Will Baker was 1 for 2 with an rbi while Jeffrey Omohundro was 1 for 3 with a double and an rbi. Brady Johnson added a double, while Ward Smith and Griffin Ammons had a hit each.
The big inning for HA came in the 3rd. Will Baker walked with one out and stole second. Omohundro drove him in with a double and Brady Johnson followed that with a double. Tanner Jackson singled a run home then Warner Blake doubled 2 runs in. The Raiders scored 6 runs in the 3rd to break open a scoreless game.
HA will play Dadeville and Headland on Saturday in Headland.
