DOTHAN:    00:12 AM.    DOTHAN Police have been in a chase. At this time the suspect vehicle has been lost in the downtown Dothan area.


The information via TEXT RICKEY STOKES 334-790-1729 was Dothan Police was in pursuit of a white Van which came south on Oates Street. The van turned in the downtown Dothan area. The suspect fled on foot.


The suspect vehicle as a white van with a Georgia license plate. The registration provides a name with no address. UNCONFIRMED information is the vehicle was abandoned in the Southport Avenue and Foster Street area. Dothan police has downtown perimeter closed down and Houston County Sheriff Department is deploying a track dog.


A Dothan Officer said the van contains a lot of alcohol. The exact reason for the chase is not known at this time.
