LOWNDES COUNTY AL: 12:15 AM The suspect in the murder of Lowndes County Sheriff Big John Williams is in custody.
The suspect is 18 year old William Chase Jackson. He was found in some bushes near the scene.
When law enforcement surrounded the scene Jackson came walking out and still had the murder weapon in his possession.
ALEA - State Bureau of Investigation Agents, the lead agency in the investigation, will question Jackson and attempt to seek the reason for the shooting death of the Sheriff.
Jackson will face the death penalty for the shooting death of a law enforcement officer on duty.
