2019-08-23 00:51 DPD unit went on foot pursuit in Westgate Park. The suspect, a black male, wearing white shirt over gray shorts ran into the wood line. The units were calling for additional assistance to help cut the perimeter.
Units on the scene were instructed to activate emergency lights to keep suspect in the woods while K-9 tracked. DPD had instructed a unit to watch Westgate Parkway.
THE PARK AT ASHBURN. THE K-9 Officer and they went into the woods. The Perimeter was blocked.
The Officers later called the search believing the suspect had escaped the area prior to peri
wter being established.
