HOUSTON COUNTY:   07:19 AM.      HOUSTON COUNTY SHERIFF 911 dispatched units to a suicide attempt on Highway 95 at Farley Nuclear Plant.


The call was changed to a firearm assault.


On the arrival of Columbia Police the worse was the case and then person is deceased.


Shortly after Columbia Police arrived Houston County Sheriff Deputies arrived. The emergency radio traffic was cleared and the scene was cleared for Columbia Rescue.


The person did not attempt to breach security at Farley. At no time was Farley Nuclear in danger. The self enforced firearm assault was done before the person ever entered into any secure area of Farley.


Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators are responding.
