ASHFORD: 08:13 AM. Houston County Sheriff 911 Center dispatched Cowarts Volunteer Fire and Ashford Rescue to Highway 84 East and Broadway Avenue to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Ashford Rescue came up on the accident on Highway 84 East and South Broadway Street ( Hwy. 55 ) in Ashford. Cowarts Volunteer Fire Chief Roger Nall did not find the accident in Cowarts. Chief Nall told Houston County Sheriff 911 he would proceed to Ashford but notify Ashford Fire.
Ashford Rescue called for a second ambulance to respond.
A two vehicle accident. The injuries were not serious.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy Killingsworth serves as School Resource Deputy at Ashford High School. They learned the accident involved a member of the faculty and Deputy Killingsworth and the Ashford High School Principal responded to check on the staff member.
KNIGHT’S WRECKER was on the scene and cleaned up the vehicles.
Ashford Police Chief Melvin Anderson was on the scene and two other Ashford Police Officers along with Houston County Sheriff Deputies.
Ashford Police is in charge of the accident investigation
