The search continues for one of two Alabama jail inmates who escaped from lockup four days ago.
Early Friday morning, Larry Dewayne Gaither, 43, and Bryant Deandre Johnson, 31, escaped from the Calhoun County Jail through a failed door lock, said Sheriff Matthew Wade.
On Monday, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Johnson in the Atlanta metro area. Deputies and the task force have been working leads around the clock to recapture Gaither, the sheriff said. Johnson was being held prior to his escape on failure to appear on a robbery charge, promoting prison contraband and sodomy of a 33-year-old male victim.
