ASHFORD:    The inappropriate text messages alleged to have come from a group chat of teachers at Ashford High School was released today on FACEBOOK and everywhere. It has caused a stir to say the least.

Houston County School Superintendent has ordered an investigation into the posts.

One of those alleged to have been one of the participants in the teacher text messaging group, her husband is a member of the Houston County Board of Education.

In TEXT RICKEY STOKES 334-790-1729 someone sent me a message asking how the Houston County School Board can investigate the allegations if the alleged conduct involves the spouse of a school board member. 

Houston County School Superintendent David Sewell directed the Ashford High School Principal, Bubba Odom, to begin the investigation. Principal Odom called in Ashford Police Chief Quinton Vann. Chief Vann has joined Principal Odom in the investigation. At the time this article is written I do not know if Sheriff Investigators involved or not.

And the results of the investigation will not be revealed to the member of the School Board if the investigation results do indicate his spouse was involved in the alleged text messages. That School Board Member will have to excuse himself from any discussion. And he will only get the information the public gets.

Why do I keep saying "alleged". Remember the original Hawaii Five-O? Steve McGarret tells Dann-O, "just the facts - just the facts".

In this investigation, Superintendent David Sewell wants "just the facts". And then the School Board members will have to deal with it. They will make the final determination after the facts are gathered. 

The "facts" rest on Principal Bubba Odom and Chief Vann. Those facts will be presented to both Houston County School Superintendent David Sewell and since Chief Vann is involved they will be presented to 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pat Jones. 

District Attorney Jones will more than likely have "just the facts" presented to a Houston County Grand Jury. This has not come from Chief Vann, Superintendent Sewell or Principal Odom. But knowing the "system", when law enforcement was called in, that law enforcement officer has a obligation to make sure everything is done correctly and the investigation results are "just the facts". And make those "facts" known to the Chief Prosecutor of the county.

Do not take the above as my saying there is something criminal or not something criminal. That decision will be made by 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pat Jones and/or a Houston County Grand Jury.

None involved will jeopardize their career in not dealing with "just the facts". But I can tell you some information, not saying the text messages, but some of the information today, I know for a fact is not accurate.

Again, that statement has zero to do with the text messages but was with some of the actions being taken by Principal Odom and/or Chief Vann. That is because I deal in "just the facts".
