HODGESVILLE:   8:46 PM    Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire Department and Rehobeth Fire - EMS to a motor vehicle accident at 5377 Hodgesville Road.

The accident was a single vehicle accident, with reported entrapment.

The motor vehicle accident was dispatched as serious/critical injuries, which means possible life threatening injuries at the time of dispatch.

Houston County Sheriff Sergeant Ray Arnold, off duty, responded to the accident. A dedicated Deputy always willing to respond to save lives and property. Sgt. Arnold lives near the scene and Sgt. Ricky Herring does. Herring did not respond which is normal.

Sgt. Arnold is not looking for overtime, only to save lives.

Sgt. Herring apparently, even though he draws two county checks already, as a Sergeant with the Sheriff Department who is overtime eligible and a Houston County Commissioner drawing $ 35,000.00 a year for commissioner pay and auto allowance, apparently not responding if not getting overtime pay.

Cottonwood Police Officer Justin Pearson, another law enforcement officer who is dedicated. Officer Pearson is always ready and willing to respond as a police officer, a fireman, as EMS driver. Wherever and whenever needed Cottonwood Officer Pearson always put lives first.

Anyway enough about who really cares and who does not.

The lone occupant who apparently went airborne struck two trees, knocked a mailbox across the street and came to rest upside down. The driver was able to self extricate.

Rehobeth Rescue transported.

ALEA-Troopers is in charge of the accident investigation.
