DOTHAN: Cottonwood Director of Public Safety Jim Smith just advised he was attempting to catch up to a vehicle that just struck his vehicle. The driver struck Smith's police vehicle and continued north n Cottonwood Road. 


Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area to assist Smith. A very short time later Smith called out he had stopped the vehicle at Cottonwood and Mimosa. Smith took the driver into custody. No one was injured in the mishap.
