10:13 PM Stand Off In Dale County Ends Peacefully

DALE COUNTY:    08:52 AM     Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson, Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum and members of the Dale County Sheriff Department have been involved in a stand off on South County Road 59.


Assisting Dale County Sheriff Department ALEA - Trooper Post Commander Sgt. Tracey McCord and other ALEA - Troopers. Most roads in the area were closed down.


Also responding were members of the SRT Unit of Houston County Sheriff Department.


Dale County - Dothan Police Chief Aviation Pilot Tim McDonald was flying overhead and giving the units on the ground insight into the situation.


Reports to law enforcement a male subject was suffering from PTSD and was threatening suicide by law enforcement. All ended without incident. The law enforcement officers used extreme patience in ending the situation without injury.


We held this story until it concluded as to not tip what law enforcement was doing.
