HOUSTON COUNTY - WEBB - COWARTS:    Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched law enforcement units to a possible stolen vehicle around Mary Beth Lane off Enon Road between Cowarts and Webb.


Webb Police responded and went on emergency radio traffic.


Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Webb Police and Ashford Police responded to the area and set up a perimeter.


The suspect is reported to have fled on foot.


The suspect has been detained in the 200 block of Crawford Road. The emergency radio traffic has been cancelled. The multiple law enforcement officers are investigating and attempting to determine all of the puzzle about what has taken place.


Not confirmed but it is possible Webb School was locked down. If it was the lock down was only for safety precautions due to the suspect having fled the scene on foot. This is routine if something occurs in the vicinity of a school to make sure all of the children are protected and cared for.
