MISSING SINCE THURSDAY JUNE 6, 2019

LINDA ST PIERRE HAS BEEN FOUND ALIVE

ACROSS FROM THE RESIDENCE SHE WENT MISSING FROM

COTTONWOOD:     10:24 PM     About 15 minutes ago Houston County Sheriff Patrol Lt. Tony Turner called for a ambulance, emergency, at their location.

Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Lt. Hatcher instructed the ambulance behind 8709 South County Road 55. Also Lt. Hatcher said to cancel the BOLO on white female Linda St Pierre. The subject has been located.

According to a press release from Houston County Sheriff Department  on June 7, 2019, Linda St Pierre went missing from her home in the 8700 block of South County Road 55 on Thursday June 6, 2019. The press release reads "she walked off".

The press release of June 6, 2019 reads " Deputies canvassed the area and deployed K-9 tracking dogs in an attempt to locate St Pierre. The K-9 was unable to pick up a scent trail outside St Pierre's yard. 

The June 6, 2019 press release reads " Deputies deployed a drone with infrared technology to attempt to locate her from the air but no sign of her. All hospitals have been contacted. At this time there has been no sign  of St Pierre or clues to her whereabouts. St Pierre is considered to be an endangered elderly person, St Pierre is listed as a missing person and a silver alert has been issued for her. According to Houston County Sheriff press released St Pierre has several medical issues and walks with a pronounced limp".

Earlier this evening Houston County Sheriff Department called for Dale County Sheriff Air Unit. While it was enroute is when Deputies called for a ambulance, emergency, to respond to the residence across the street from where St Pierre went missing from.

Cottonwood Rescue responded to the scene and St Pierre was transported, non emergency, to a Dothan hospital.

The search for St Pierre began Thursday, June 6, 2019 at about 6:15 PM when St Pierre's son contacted Houston County Sheriff Department.

From the initial report on June 6 forward, at no time has assistance been requested by Houston County Sheriff Department of any Houston County Departments such as  Cottonwood Fire Department, Cottonwood Rescue, Lovetown Fire Department, Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management Agency, Houston County Rescue Unit or any other department in Houston County to assist in the search for St Pierre.

At no time has information to be on the look out for St Pierre been issued to the 17 Houston County Volunteer Fire Departments or the 5 Volunteer Emergency Medical Services, other than the normal media sources. 

Houston County Volunteer Program has about 300 members involved.

The search has been totally the Houston County Sheriff Department. 

St Pierre was located across from the house where she went missing from. She has suffered multiple ant bites, lacerations and possible broken bones and no food since the time she went missing on Thursday June 6, 2019. Reports she has been in the woods behind the house she went missing from since Thursday June 6, 2019.

Houston County Sheriff Investigators followed the ambulance to the hospital.
