ELBA:    The Elba City School Board on Thursday voted not to re-new the contract for Elba City School Superintendent Chris Moseley. 


Moseley has served the Elba City Schools since 2015.


The School Board members are: President - Johnny Senn, Members Krisy Astemborski, Miranda Ruseell, DeAnn Grantham, and Debra Clark.


School Board President Johnny Senn is a retired agent with the ALEA - State Bureau of Investigation who retired recently.


Last evening Johnny Senn house received gunfire. At this time do not know how many shots were fired at his house.


Elba Police Department assisted by ALEA - State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation. Since Johnny Senn is retired with ALEA - State Bureau of Investigation we exepect everyone that is anyone with investigative ability will be involved in conducting the investigation.


At this time, RSN is not saying the shots fired are related to the vote last night on the School Superintendent. RSN is saying that we understand the School Superintendent is a home town man and MANY - MANY people are highly upset with the school board members on the non-renewal of Chris Moseley contract.


Coffee County Sheriff Department is assisting with law enforcement duties in Elba while Elba Police Department and ALEA - SBI conduct the investigation.


The shots fired could be something that Johnny Senn was involved in while serving with ALEA - SBI. And the shots could be random and just happened to be Senn's house.


But the investigative teams are on it and you will see a lot of activity of law enforcement and speciality groups in Elba today and the next couple of days.


There were no reported injuries.
