COWARTS: Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Cowarts Volunteer Fire, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA-Troopers and EMS of jurisdiction - Pilcher Ambulance to a motor vehicle accident. The dispatched location was Highway 84 East and Jester Street.
Cowarts Volunteer Fire on personal vehicle were unable to locate followed by Sheriff Deputies. A Houston County Sheriff Dispatcher, Haisten Murphree also volunteers with Cowarts Volunteer Fire. Haisten located the accident scene onSouth Broadway a short distance off Highway 84.
Reports of a single vehicle accident, overturned with entrapment. Murphree talked to the lone driver. They were not injured but Murphree instructed the person to not move, remain calm until fire arrived to stabilize the vehicle.
Within seconds Cowarts Volunteer Fire Engine and Houston County Sheriff Deputies were on the scene, followed seconds later by ALEA Trooper.
No one was transported. Ferguson Wrecker towed the vehicle. ALEA- Troopers in charge of investigation.
