DOTHAN:     10:59 AM    Dothan 911 dispatched police units to Southeast Health emergency response to a person leaving the hospital.


The person was a person in custody at the hospital. The subject had a blanket draped around him.


The person entered a black SUV.


Dothan Police quickly located the subject as they drove into a driveway and exited the vehicle on Gregory Street. As they saw Dothan Police they entered the residence and locked the door.


Dothan Police were quick to surround the residence. The suspect went to escape out of the back directly into the arms of a Dothan Police Officer.


Houston County Sheriff K-9 Officer was responding at the time the suspect attempted to leave the rear of the residence, not realizing Dothan Police was quicker then he was.


Unknown what the subject was in custody for, but one additional charge for the subject is Escape.


Unknown if the female was charged with assisting in the escape.
